  Natalia

  The next morning the sun woke me. I sat up on the side of the bed and watched Jason sleep so peacefully. I couldn’t believe I had him back. Justin is gonna be so excited to meet and see him. Suddenly Jason’s phone began to ring. He woke up and answered it.

  “Hello, Ryan, what’s going on!”

  “Jason! Oh my fucking God they are both dead! Ms. Virginia and Robert are both fucking dead!” Ryan said.

  “What! Oh, my God that can’t be happening.! What the hell happened down there?”

  “Yesterday, Ms. Virginia and Robert were supposed to meet me and Rayna for dinner, but they never showed up! I didn’t think anything of it so then me and Rayna went back home to the ranch and while we were in bed Brooklyn started barking because the fucking house was on fire! Rayna, Brooklyn and I got out just in time before the whole fucking house went up in flames! The fire captain told me it looked like arson and I had a bad fucking feeling, so I went over to Mr. Virginia and Robert’s house and they were both fucking dead, shot in their bed! Who the fuck would do this? Whoever got the drop on Robert had to have been good. He didn’t even have time to reach for his gun. It was still on the nightstand next to the bed. It was a FUCKING EXECUTION. Rayna and I are going to our safe house right now.”

  “Ryan, stay safe I will contact you on the secure line. We will have our revenge.” I then slammed the phone down on the bed.

  “I know who did this Jason.”

  “Who Natalia?”

  “My father told me yesterday that Alexi was in Texas handling his part of the job, but I didn’t know it had to do with your family! I swear I’m so sorry!”

  Natalia

  Jason jumped out of bed and put on his pants quickly. He grabbed his 9mm handgun off the nightstand.

  “Natalia, we have to find the rest of the team. Soon if not already your father will know you didn’t complete the rest of your mission. This isn’t a safe place for us. We must go now.”

  I got dressed and grabbed my bag. Jason called Ryan on the secure phone.

  “Ryan, I’m with Natalia right now.”

  “Jason what the fuck are you doing with Natalia? Chase told me she tried to kill you yesterday. Where did she come from, I thought she was dead?”

  “Ryan, it’s a long story and I will tell you about it later, but the short version is that Boris Valchek is Natalia’s father and Alexi is her twin brother and they have been planning this attack on us for years! But Natalia warned me they were coming for me and we staged it to look like she had killed me.”

  “What the hell Jason? He killed our parents! There is no coming back from that shit. They must die! I’m going to make sure Rayna is safe then I’m flying out to New York once I make sure Ms. Virginia and Robert’s bodies make it to the morgue.

  “Okay Ryan. I will call Chase and Nick since they are still here in NYC. Call Maurice and Vince and warn them. Tell them to get here to NYC.”

  “Okay Jason, I will meet you at the safe house in Manhattan tomorrow!”

  “Okay Ryan, safe travels brother.”

  JASON

  When I hung up the phone with Ryan tears suddenly began to stream down my face. My unfinished business had finally come back to haunt me and had taken the ones I love as collateral. I couldn’t believe Ms. Virginia and Robert were now dead. Ms. Virginia and Robert had saved me and Ryan all those years ago. If Ms. V had never stopped that day and picked us up, Ryan and I would probably not be alive today. As I sat in the truck consumed in anger and grief, Natalia was right by my side.

  “I am so sorry baby. I will do anything to help make this right.”

  “You can’t make this right, Natalia! My adopted parents are dead at the hands of your fucking brother and father! I know your father gave him the job too! We are killers and have done some evil shit in our lives and now we are paying the price! The government used us for evil. We have been on the defense against your father and brother and it’s time we go on the offense.”

  “What Jason! Why?”

  “You are going to go back to your father and brother like everything is normal.”

  “I’m scared to leave you again!”

  Jason shifted in his seat and leaned his forehead against mine.

  “Don’t be afraid baby. I am never leaving your side again. For you are my soul and I would never let you go again! We have to make sure we take care of them once and for all so we can be happy. I will have my revenge!”

  “It’s so hard for me Jason, I have been so tortured by them for so long and they have this unbelievable hold over me that I don’t know how to break!”

  “Don’t worry, I will break it for you once and for all.

  Chapter 38

  Natalia

  Myself, Jason and the rest of the team boarded my family’s jet to head back to Montana. As I looked out the window and the plane was about to land, I spotted my father’s car at the airport waiting for me.

  “Baby look.! Oh my God we about to land and my father’s car is waiting for me on the runway.”

  “Just act normal sweetheart. The team and I have your back. Chase is gonna keep the pilot calm while I get out my rifle. I will be able to see everything.

  “Always! I love you Jason.”

  “I love you too.”

  As my plane landed I got a knot in my stomach. As I approached the car my brother got out with his gun in his hand. I then pulled out my 9mm Beretta and pointed it at him.

  “Okay Alexi, this is how this is going to end brother?”

  “Oh, I don’t think so Natalia! Put down the gun. Father and I know you didn’t kill Jason. Why Natalia? I watched him make love to you in that hotel room. I installed cameras in that room before you arrived in NYC when I placed the rifle case under the bed for you. I heard every word the two of you spoke. I heard you scream as he fucked you in the shower! What is this hold he has over you? I love you, Natalia!”

  “Noooo! You don’t have control over me anymore!”

  “Oh Natalia, but that’s where you’re wrong! I have had control over you ever since we were kids and I would sneak into your bed at night and touch you while you were sleeping! You used to moan and you liked it!”

  “You’re fucking sick, Alexi!”

  “We are one! I am your twin! We are bonded for life.”

  Suddenly my phone began to ring.

  “I think you might wanna answer that call Natalia”

  “Hello?”

  “Mommy, is that you?”

>   As I pointed the gun at Alexi my heart stopped.

  “Yes baby, it’s Momma, where are you?”

  “I’m with a strange man Mommy. When are you coming to get me?”

  “Soon baby I promise. Put the man on the phone.”

  “If you ever wanna see him again Natalia you will finish your mission! You disappoint me. All this could have been avoided. And you betrayed me for what Natalia? For Love? Why do you deny what you are? We are killers! It’s in your blood.”

  “If you hurt my son, father, I will come for you and I will kill you”

  “I will be waiting Natalia!”

  Suddenly the phone went dead.

  “Father? Father?”

  “Well Natalia I think it’s time you put that gun down. We both know know you’re not gonna kill me.”

  “Yes, I would, but I think I will let him instead.”

  Alexi had no time to react before a bullet pierced his neck and he fell to the ground. I looked in the distance as Jason was walking toward me holding his sniper rifle. We both stood over Alexi as he choked on his own blood. Jason kneeled down over Alexi and whispered to him.

  “I told you that one day I would kill you and that day is today! Now your father is next.”

  At that moment Alexi died.

  “Good riddance you piece of shit!” I said

  Suddenly I saw a black SUV coming down the runway at a high speed. I lowered my gun.

  “Don’t worry, Natalia. It’s just Chase. He found a SUV in the airplane hangar.”

  “Come on guys get in!”

  “Thanks, Chase!”

  As we drove away down the runway I glanced in the rearview mirror and watched as the reflection of my brother’s body got smaller and smaller. Now I understood why my mother had killed herself when I was a child. My father and brother were pure evil and I assumed she couldn’t live with the hurt and pain anymore. I’m sure she knew my father would never let her go and she only saw one option. But I don’t feel that way at all. I know that I have Jason and the whole team now and we just have to stick together.

  “Jason, my father has our son.”

  “Don’t worry, sweetheart. I’m gonna finish this.”

  Once we pulled up to my cabin, Max ran out barking to greet me.

  “Hey Max! I missed you.”

  Chase unloaded my things from the truck. As I walked into my living room Nick, Ryan, Vince and Maurice were all sitting on the couches around the fireplace. I could feel all their eyes on me.

  “Natalia, Jason told us what happened to you, and we understand.”

  “No, you don’t understand he has my son and now there are no rules. I just want to make sure I’m there to see him die. I wanna look my father in the eyes as he takes his last breath. I never wanted to betray any of you. Ryan I am so sorry about what happened to your parents. I know I have done some unforgivable things that I will never be able to make up for, but I am asking for you all to stand by me this one last time to save my son!”

  “Natalia you were in an impossible situation and I am going to stand by you,” Nick said.

  “Me too,” Chase said

  “I’m in,” Vince said

  “You know I would follow you to the ends of the earth for my brother,” Ryan said

  “Well, I’m in too! My wife Tessi is now in hiding because he sent guys after us in Vegas! It’s time to end this,” Maurice said.

  “So, what’s the plan guys,” Chase said.

  “My father is holding my son at his compound off the island of Madagascar.”

  “So, we will have to have a water approach without being detected,” Jason said.

  “There is no element of surprise. My father will be expecting us. His place is a fortress and it is heavily guarded.”

  “Okay Ryan, you Nick, Chase, and Maurice go over the plans of the compound and find the best way for us to get in.”

  “Come with me, Natalia. I need to talk to you for a second.”

  Jason and I walked upstairs to the bedroom and Max followed us. We went into the bedroom and I closed the door.

  “Natalia, I love you, but I feel all of us may not come out of this alive. We will definitely be heavily outnumbered, but I would die for my son and I am prepared to do whatever it takes. I love you for life even though we have things to work out. But I just wanted to let you know I am not mad at you for the decisions you had to make. I wanna see my son, so let’s go get him.”

  “Oh, Jason, I’m so scared. I have fear, anger, sadness overwhelming all at once. I just don’t want our baby to get hurt.”

  Jason leaned in and hugged me. Tears rolled down my face as Max sat at my feet staring at us. I rubbed Max on his head and he laid down on the floor.

  “Let’s go get our boy!” Jason said.

  Chapter 39

  Jason, the team and I prepared our gear and headed for the airport. I had charted us a plane to take us to Madagascar. All of us boarded the plane. Jason and I sat next to one another on the plane. He held my hand. “This is not gonna end well.” I said. “Yes, I have every intention of it ending badly for anyone who tries to keep us from our son.” We landed on the north side of the island undetected. We all hiked inland and found an old abandoned shack and set up our gear.

  “Okay guys hopefully we can go in and get my son out before Boris’s guards detect that we are here,” Jason said.

  “Guys, just so you know Mr. Ketch works for my father, so he is probably on this island as well.” I said.

  “Damn, he is a spy too?” Maurice said

  “Yes, he is.”

  “Damn, this story just gets worse!” Maurice said

  “Hey Maurice, chill out man okay?” Chase said.

  “Okay, so the plan is I’m going in alone and you guys will back me up okay?” I said.

  “Alone!” Jason said. No way, sweetheart, we are going in together by now your father will know that Alexi is dead.”

  “I’m glad he’s dead Jason,” I said.

  “So, Ryan, get the surveillance ready. Vince, Chase, Ryan and Maurice can you guys please back me and Natalia up.”

  “Of course,” Nick said

  Nick walked over and unlocked all the gun cases while Maurice stood there looking puzzled.

  JASON

  “So, what do you want me to do Jason?” Maurice asked

  “Maurice can you wait for us at the retreat point to cover our escape.”

  “Of course,” Maurice said

  “Okay, Chase, once we get to the compound you will position yourself amongst the trees on the north side. Nick you will be on the west side positioned in the trees as well to cover our retreat. Vince and Ryan, you two will enter the compound through the underground tunnels. If anything happens to me and Natalia, Ryan promise me you will get my son out safely.”

  “Of course, you can count on me brother.”

  “Ryan, we have been through a lot together in our lives. But this may be our last ride together. But my most important one for sure. Today I’m gonna meet my son.”

  I shook Ryan, Chase, Vince, Maurice and Nick’s hands before we headed out for what may be our last mission together. Vince pulled me to the side.

  “Hey mate, this is all crazy, but I want you to know that I am honored to have you as a best friend. You are the craziest son of a bitch besides myself of course. But I would follow you to the ends of the earth mate.”

  “Thanks man. This may be our last ride but I will gladly die to save my son. I hope Natalia knows that I forgive her for everything. I just wish I could have been there to see my son born. I have missed out on so much and now this bastard Boris has him! IT’S NOW TIME THAT HE PAYS FOR ALL HE HAS DONE!!”

  Maurice headed out to our retreat point while the rest of the team and I jumped in the truck and headed for Boris’s compound. Once we arrived at the compound the team took their positions around it.

  I grabbed onto Natalia’s hand and looked into her beautiful eyes.

  “Baby, I just wanted to say
I love you. I loved you from the first time we met as teens. I knew you were the one. These years without you, not knowing if you were dead or alive, almost killed me. And if I don’t make it out of here alive I want you to know that I forgive you for everything.”

  Natalia leaned in and kissed me. “Thank you, baby. That means the world to me. Regardless of what happens today. I’m glad I risked everything for us. Justin deserves to know his father, and I will die before I let him get hurt. Let’s Go!”

  Natalia loaded both of her 9mm handguns as we headed through the trees toward the compound. Once we came out of the trees we were at the gate of the compound. There were four guards out front.

  “Chase, you read me?”

  “I do,” Chase replied.

  “Okay take them down nice and quiet.”

  “Copy that,” Chase replied.

  Natalia and I watched as Chase shot all four of the outside guards. We then proceeded to the front door and it was unlocked. As we walked inside there was a grand staircase and Boris was standing at the top with Justin standing beside him.

  “Mommy!” Justin yelled to Natalia.

  “It’s okay, baby. Mommy is here.”

  “Grandpa told me you were coming. Who that momma?”

  “Justin this is your daddy.”

  Justin just stood there looking down at me with a puzzled look on his face.

  “Well Natalia, this is such a touching reunion.”

  Suddenly Mr. Ketch appeared and began to walk toward Justin and Boris.

  “Well Natalia, it seems like you picked your side finally. I have to say I’m not surprised but it was a clever deception indeed,” said Mr. Ketch

  “Get away from my son,” I said

  “Oh Jason, this is not going to go how you think,” Mr. Ketch said

  “Take the boy in the other room Mr. Ketch,” Boris ordered

  “MOMMY!” Justin yelled out.

  “Don’t worry, Justin. Mommy will come in and get you in a minute.”

  “Promise?”
